Chris Brian: Devoted Husband and Father, life-long musician, Master Martial Artist, College and public-school Teacher.

            I have loved music for as long as I can remember. I fondly remember my sister Marcy, singing into her hairbrush and me playing air guitar on a tennis racquet. Growing up between West Texas and Southern California I was introduced to a myriad of musical genres including everything from Rock, Pop, old-school Country, R&B, Motown and even Classical music. I fell in love with playing the guitar and making music at a very young age. My first gig was with some friends in a band we called High voltage. at a talent show at Simons JH in Pomona California. I continued playing throughout my teens with various garage bands and even played a stint with a band out of Tulsa Oklahoma. I eventually moved to Midland Texas and  joined an original rock band called Mantissa. Eventually Mantissa decided to leave West Texas for greener pastures and move to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where we played as a club band for the next few years.

             I married the love of my life Anne Brian in 1989. I was thrilled to find out that not only was she beautiful she was a great singer. When our daughter Charlene was born in 1990, we moved back to Midland Texas and established a successful rock band called Capnjack. We started playing multiple venues in the West Texas area. Eventually the band decided to take a break and with the death of our drummer stopped playing altogether. In 2008 Pastor G.O. Wade asked me to take over the music ministry for Living Hope Church, and after much prayer and consultations with my wife Anne, I decided to take on the challenge and embarked on a totally new journey playing music with my family for God instead of for myself. God immediately gave me a flood of music and lyrics. Instead of taking a month to write a song, it now took a couple of day. I already have enough songs for our next album,

              We named the band Appointed Life, after my wife’s teaching ministry.  Singing and playing with my wife, daughter, Granddaughter, and with my son-in-law Justin laying down the beat, I found myself writing and performing Christian music for Jusus. Playing music for Christ with my family has been some of the most rewarding and happiest times of my life.
